Bing Liang
Bing Liang is the founder and president of U.S. University Pathways, an educational consulting company creating pathways to foster the international exchange of education in the state of Wisconsin. Bing is also the co-founder of the Midwest Global Youth Academy, which fosters meaningful connections between Wisconsin and global youth through the exchange of language and culture.
Bing earned his Doctoral degree in Higher Educational Leadership at Edgewood College in Madison, WI and his master’s degree in English Education at UW-Platteville. Bing also served on the executive board of the United Nation Association of Dane County. When not working, Bing enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Dave Vitale
With over 30 years of diverse teaching and administrative leadership at all levels, Dave is experienced in adult learning, e-learning, and technology integration, including AI and cybersecurity. Holding a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dave’s dissertation was a case-based study on the impact of professional development in transformative instructional technology integration.
After successfully serving as a high school teacher, Dave transitioned into administration, obtaining various licenses such as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Superintendent, and Instructional Technology Integration. He served as a school principal, director of instruction, and assistant superintendent among many other roles and responsibilities over the years. As an adjunct instructor at the university level, he focused on strategic implementation of educational technology for administrators and other leaders. In 2008, Dave was honored with the Outstanding Administrator Award by the Wisconsin State Reading Association, an award made possible by nominations from his peers.
Dave is recognized for spearheading multiple learner-centered initiatives that emphasize e-learning as an opportunity for systems to reconsider space, time, and access to quality learning experiences for learners of all ages. He led the creation of project-based high schools, STEM programs, and eCampus Academy Charter School designed to facilitate experiential, place-based and multi-modal learning anytime, anywhere. Dave also developed a digital platform for personalized professional development based on the same principles for adult learners. Since 2014, Dave has been a consultant and trainer with the Innovative Schools Network while also serving on its Board of Directors. Networking and sharing ideas are important aspects of Dave’s work.
Jessica Vodvarka
Meet Jessica, the College Advising Specialist for US University Pathways. She brings over 8 years of experience in international college advising to her work, along with a master’s degree in Global Higher Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jessica has a passion for creating global partnerships and fostering international exchange experiences for students. She has personally hosted international students at her home in Wisconsin, and loves traveling in her free time.
Regina Moromizato
Regina Moromizato is a Doctor in Childhood, Youth, and Social Sciences from the University of Manizales and the Center for Higher Studies in Childhood and Youth, Colombia. She holds a Master’s in Social Management and has graduated from the Master’s Degree in Government of Organizations – PAD, as well as in Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
With over 20 years in project management within health and education, Regina focuses on Human Development in both public and private sectors. She has provided technical assistance on public policy in education and social development to esteemed entities such as OAS, IDB, and GIZ.
Currently, Regina serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Education at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She is also the Executive Director of the RED SUMA Association and the visionary Founder of the educational project Semilla Azul. Her expertise and leadership have been instrumental in shaping the fields of education and social development.
Mighty Lou Tinambacan
Mighty Lou, an educator with over a decade of experience, is deeply committed to serving her students—sharing her knowledge and helping them succeed in their endeavors. She holds a teaching license in her home country and a teaching certificate in Nova Scotia, Canada. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Philippine Normal University-Agusan Campus and completed academic requirements at the same alma mater. Her friends admire her strong will and adventurous spirit—she loves traveling to different parts of the world and meeting new people.
In 2017, she taught international students at Changchun Experimental High School and later at Guangwai-Nova Scotia High School in Foshan, as part of the Sino-Canadian program supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Her new chapter brings exciting adventures as she settles in the USA with her family, building a multicultural community that empowers and supports women. She enjoys yoga, photography, writing, and painting.
Xueke Yang
Xue Ke Yang is an international educator and marketing professional with extensive experience guiding Chinese students through applications to top global universities, including QS Top 100 institutions. She specializes in joint education program development and digital media promotion for international education. Xue Ke has successfully established partnerships between Chinese and overseas schools, supported immigration organizations with application processes, and coordinated communications across diverse stakeholders.
Anamika Sharma
With over 25 years of experience in education, Anamika brings a unique blend of expertise spanning teaching, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurial innovation. Starting as a schoolteacher, she spent a decade shaping young minds before transitioning into the corporate sector with Oxford University Press. There, she specialized in training, product development, and driving impactful educational solutions. Subsequently, she advanced to lead marketing for another prominent publishing house, honing her skills in branding, outreach, and strategic growth. As a co-founder of a dynamic startup, she has collaborated with global tech companies to evangelize their products within India’s leading technology colleges. Her role involves overseeing operations, branding, and outreach, consistently ensuring impactful engagement and measurable success. A lifelong advocate for education, she is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for learners and educators alike, blending traditional methodologies with innovative, technology-driven approaches to make a lasting impact.
Bette Lang
Bette Lang works with Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin as a doctoral advisor and liaison. She previously co-taught doctoral courses in the educational leadership program for 12 years. Bette has a doctorate in educational policy and leadership from Marquette University, and specialist and master’s degrees in educational administration from the University of Wisconsin -Superior. Her bachelor’s degree is from the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point. Prior to retirement, she worked 38 years in K-12 education as a teacher, assistant principal, middle and high school principal, director of curriculum, and superintendent. During her K-12 tenure she was a member of national, state, and local associations and served on boards of professional and community organizations. During her K-12 career, she presented on topics such as leadership and educational issues to a variety of state and local groups and organizations. Bette co-authored two books on school board/superintendent relationships. She was awarded Distinguished Alumna of the Year -College of Education from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her free time Bette enjoys community service, travel, and spending time with her family.
Sara Liang
Sara Liang is the Director of the Center for Global Education at Edgewood College in Madison, WI, where she directs the international student services and study abroad programs and co-leads the College’s international initiatives and partnerships. She has worked in the field of international education for over 10 years, leading programs and advising international and study abroad students. She has a doctorate in Higher Educational Leadership, a master’s degree in International Education, and bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Psychology. Sara served as the Chair of the Wisconsin Association of International Educators (WAIE) and the WAIE membership coordinator for four years before transitioning to the Chair stream. She has also served on the NAFSA Region V team as the Conference Chair. When not working, Sara enjoys hiking, doing yoga, taking leisurely bike rides, travelling, and spending time with her family.
Liz Kruse
Liz Kruse, M.A., has worked in higher education since 2010 in various roles including International Education, Alumni Relations, and Continuing and Workforce Education. Liz currently works at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, as the Director of the Institute for Professional Excellence, and oversees the university’s CareerPLUS program. Previously, Liz worked at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and Loras College. Liz earned her Bachelor’s degrees in English Literature, Spanish, and International Studies from Loras College and a Master’s degree in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota. Liz’s study abroad experience in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and her year on a Fulbright grant living in Madrid, Spain, continue to fuel Liz’s passion for international education and exchange. Liz has previously served on the leadership team of the Wisconsin Association of International Educators (WAIE) and currently serves on Clarke University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque’s Employer Inclusion Council. When not working, Liz enjoys reading, running, playing piano, and spending time with her husband and three young children.
Tina Hatch
Tina Hatch has worked in the field of international education and higher education for over 15 years. She worked for 10 years at University of Wisconsin-Madison’s International Student Services office as an advisor and Assistant Director for Cross-Cultural Engagement and Advising. Most recently, Tina worked at Madison College as an international student advisor. At UW-Madison, in addition to advising, Tina supervised and trained F-1 visa advisors, oversaw co-curricular education and programming for multiple years, oversaw many student wellness, diversity, and student life initiatives within the office, and supported the day-to-day management of the office. Prior to her roles advising and managing within International Student Services, Tina managed the Learning Enhancement Program at University of Utah, overseeing the Tutoring Center, Supplemental Instruction, and the Strategies for College Success course. Tina has taught interpersonal and intercultural communication and college success courses, as well as ESL part-time for two years with the International Rescue committee. Tina has served on multiple university committees, including co-chairing the Committee on Women at UW-Madison and University of Utah, committees on student mental health, international recruitment and engagement, diversity and inclusion, LGBTQ, and language learning. Tina has an MA in Communication and BA in French and English. She loves advising, supporting students, travel, cross-cultural exchange, food, spending time in nature, and spending time with her family. She has lived in Norway and studied abroad in France, taught English short-term in China and volunteered in Thailand.
Patrick Glenn Hagen
Dr. Patrick Glenn Hagen served as Founding Principal of Guangwai-Pacelli High School in 2018-2019. In that role, he translated the Pacelli concept of American high school education to the Chinese context. Prior to this, Dr. Hagen held a number of administrative positions within the University of Wisconsin system, including serving as Campus Executive Officer and Dean at the University of Wisconsin-Richland. Hagen is a strong advocate for liberal arts education and has dedicated his career to international education. For 15 years, he led the German program at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Kevin Krieg
Mr. Kevin Krieg is the principal of Guangwai-Pacelli High School from 2019-2020 academic year. Mr. Krieg completed his Bachelor of Science at the UW–La Crosse and earned his Master’s in International Relations from the Brussels School of International Studies, Belgium and the University of Kent at Canterbury, England. He has studied six languages and traveled to 80 countries. He teaches Political Science classes for the University of Wisconsin system and continues to work as an educational consultant for schools and as a research participant with the Kettering Foundation. His professional experience and love of lifelong has created a passion for building new schools and programs that are globally focused on collaboration and cooperation as a means of fostering diplomatic relationships and educational exchange.
Rose Lamensdorf
Rose Lamensdorf, born and raised in Wisconsin, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in English Linguistics and Political Science. She chose to pursue teaching after spending a summer as an intern with the Women’s Education Project in South India, teaching English classes and working to empower young women. She is passionate about building relationships with her students and embracing the culture of the country in which she is living. In addition to India, she has also taught in Ecuador and China. She is excited to return to Guangwai-Pacelli High School for a second year as both an English/ESL teacher, and head teacher of foreign staff. In her free time, she enjoys being outside and cooking!
Brian Honerbaum
Brian Honerbaum grew up in Illinois, but has lived in Iowa since he graduated high school. He graduated from Loras College with a bachelor’s in history. During his first few years of teacher, he spent his summers teaching English in Ukraine. His favorite part of teaching is building relationships with his students and their families. He believes that is a simple way to help promote success in and out of the classroom. He is extremely excited to start the next chapter of his teaching career at Guangwai-Pacelli High School!
Ryan Alme
Ryan Alme grew up in Minnesota, and graduated from The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s in Geography and Science and Technical Writing. He chose to pursue education out of his respect for the great teachers he’s had, and his firm belief in the importance of education. His favorite aspects of teaching are the endless self-challenge it demands, and watching students grow and achieve their goals. Ryan is excited to put his full energy into teaching at GPHS, and to work with Chinese students firsthand and learn more about China and its culture. When he is not in the classroom, Ryan likes to spend time with his friends and express himself through music and art.
Gregory Grice
My name is Gregory N. Grice. I am a citizen of the United States. I grew up in Texas, Maryland, near Washington, D.C. and Aberdeen, Scotland. I have been teaching High School and university courses in China for thirteen plus years. During this time I have come to know China and her people quite well. I believe I have grown as a teacher during this time and have learned, to some degree, what is needed to create a constructive classroom experience. I find that connecting with my students on a personal level is one important key to accomplishing our mutual educational goals.I have a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and an AA in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from Sonoma College. My hobby is Macrophotography (insect and plant life), along with a general interest in the reading of World War II history (European Theater). I am honored to be part of the Teaching Staff at Guangwai-Pacelli High School.
Omoyofunmi Osarumense
Omoyofunmi Oluwabunmi Osarumwense is a passionate young leader and a teacher at heart, hails from Ondo state, Nigeria. has a background of a Bachelor Degree in Engineering with a major in Civil Engineering from Liaoning Shihua University (LSU), P.R China. Oluwabunmi is a member of the American society of civil engineers, LSU-Chapter, Oluwabunmi is a very proactive and dedicated young teacher, and has been engaged in empowering, capacity building, volunteering and training youths through various Youth Platforms including creation of free mathematics review-classes for international students across two universities in northern part of China. Effective at building relationships and coordinating with peers, staff and upper management, utilizing bilingual fluency in English and Chinese language in this globalization era, he believe in creating new reality (你的幸福是我的快乐). At leisure-time, Oluwabunmi enjoys playing musical instrument-Saxophone, football and tourism. He is working at Guangwai-Pacelli High School, Guangdong province, P.R, China, and he’s very much happy to continue working at Guangwai-Pacelli High School for a second year as both Physics and Mathematics teacher.
Charles Schoenberg
Charles Schoenberg graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in May 2018 with his Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Comprehensive. In addition to teaching History, Schoenberg is licensed and qualified to teach Economics, Sociology, Geography, Civics, and Psychology. Schoenberg was a founding staff member at Guangwai-Pacelli High School, teaching World History and Economics in the 2018-19 academic year. He now serves as a sixth grade Social Studies teacher at Horizon Middle School, in Colorado Springs.
Brian Barger
Brian Barger is a Wisconsin native and attended UW–Whitewater where he majored in History and Secondary Education, with a minor in English, ultimately receiving his Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis on history and broad-field social studies. His goal as a teacher is to develop strong critical thinking skills and to encourage curiosity in his students. Learning is a lifelong endeavor and he wants them to have a desire to continue learning about the world around them long after they leave the classroom.
Zach Kilpatrick
Zach Kilpatrick teaches mathematics at Guangwai-Pacelli High School. He graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and a minor in Coaching. He taught for one year at Isanti Middle School with the Minnesota Math Corps program before going back to school to get his teaching degree. Since graduating from Winona State, he teaches grades seven through twelve at La Crescent Montessori. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, golf, and volleyball. He has coached middle and high school basketball over the last six years. He also enjoys cars and going to car shows.
Kaitlyn Chao
Kaitlyn Chao graduated from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI with a double major in Chemistry and Theatre Arts and minors in Secondary Education and Broad Field Science with an emphasis in Biology. Outside of school, she loves to travel with her mom and sisters, be involved in local theatre, attend poetry readings, and read books. She is very excited to teach science to the next generation of students and looks forward to working with the students at Guangwai-Pacelli High School.
